Dear Parent/Guardian: In an effort to provide parents with better access to how their students are performing and to encourage more parental involvement, San Saba Independent School District (SSISD) has implemented an online grade reporting/attendance system call ParentConnection. When you determine that you want access to ParentConnection, please go online to access the ParentConnection registration at www.san-saba.net. From the face of this website, you will select the ParentConnection link. At this link please select the “ParentConnection Access" link and follow the directions for registering to access the ParentConnection. Your registration is not complete and access will not be available until the attached Permission and Wavier Form has been received and processed by the Director of Technology. The attached Permission and Waiver Form will finalize your registration and permit SSISD to post your student’s grades on an Internet website that is accessible by password. You will only be able to see your student’s grades and no others. You should execute this form only if you wish Internet access to your student’s grades/attendance and only after you have registered through the website. Parents not wanting Internet access to their student’s grades should not complete and return this form. Once registered and processed you may logon to the SSISD website, access the ParentConnection link and view the grades and attendance for all of the children for whom you are appropriately registered. The grade/attendance reports of your student posted on the website can only be accessed by someone who knows your username/password. SSISD will not make your username/password publicly available. Be aware, however, that such disclosure, including the contents of the website, may occur in the event such information is responsive to court subpoena order, a decision or directive from the Attorney General’s office, or other reason required by law. You should share your username/password only with those whom you consider to have a legitimate interest with your student’s grade reports and attendance. The on-going effort to promote parent involvement is an initiative of San Saba ISD in support of No Child Left Behind and to meet Title I requirements.
